We are Together in Child Safety
Union members in Child Safety workplaces know we can change things together that we can't change alone.
We are Child Safety Officers, Administration Officers, Child Safety Support Officers, Court Liaison Officers, Business Officers, Senior Team Leaders, Cultural Practice Advisors, Senior Pracs, Family Group Meeting Convenors, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Practice Leaders, and other roles ensuring child safety is protected across Queensland.
Child Safety members across Queensland are currently bargaining with the department to make improvements to their wages and conditions. In particular, members are seeking significant changes to workloads, career progression, cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employees and more.
"We are wanting to send a message to the department that Child Safety and Youth Justice services are essential services within the community. If you work in the Department and want to see real change, it’s important to be a part of your union"
Lucy Besnard
Child Safety Delegate and Together Vice President
