Let's come together in celebration of the wins Together members have achieved and the broader labour movement in 2023. This year we stand together and make our voices heard in support of the Yes vote for the Voice to Parliament referendum. Join us in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as we strive towards a better future for our communities. After more than 65,000 years of continuous culture, it's time to recognise the undeniable connection to country and give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people a practical say on laws and policies that impact their lives. There are a range of exciting activities planned for the events across Queensland for Labour Day, including live music, food stalls, and speeches from prominent community leaders. There of course will also be a marches, so be sure to wear your Together t-shirts and wave your banners high! Don't miss out on this chance to catch up with your fellow Together members and show your union pride while sending a powerful message to our communities that the union movement stands with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at the upcoming referendum. Wherever you go people are talking about it: The cost of living is continuing to go up. Workers' wages need to keep pace. This year, Together members will be campaigning for fair wage increases in the public and private sectors with a simple message that wage increases must at least match the increases in the cost of living. Union members deliver quality services in every part of the state but your hard work is not being recognised if wages don’t keep pace with the cost of living.
