Child Safety & Youth Justice Protected Action Ballot 2026
This ballot is a legal step that gives members the option to take protected industrial action later, if and when they decide to.
-
Voting yes doesn't mean you have to take every action listed — it means the option is there if needed.
-
We're encouraging members to vote yes on every action, even the ones that aren't part of your day-to-day work.
-
If members only vote yes on some actions, the others may fail — and no work group will be able to use them later, even if they need to.
This Protected Action Ballot is open from 6 July 2026 and closes at 5pm Friday, 17 July 2026.
