Department of Education Certified Agreement 2022

This agreement covers Together members employed in the Department of Education including in schools. Together members covered by this agreement are covered by the Public Service Officers Award.

Union members fought for better classification structures for Therapists and Science Technicians and won. That means better pay, more recognition and improved progression.
Together member unity was the backbone of the successful reclassification of Science Operations Officers to Science Technicians. Thanks to the hard work and determination of union members standing strong together, we’ve finally been recognised for our important work in delivering safe, engaging and contemporary science education in Queensland schools.
Megan Seymour, Science Technician
Together members campaigned hard to win a stand-alone agreement for members in DoE so that our contribution to education across the state can be recognised and the issues we care about can be addressed.
In recent years union members have won better access to permanency for temporary and casual workers, maximisation of permanent hours, and the ability to be appointed to long-term higher duties roles.
As a union member you are part of a team that is always working to improve wages, conditions and our schools. Together we can make a real difference.
Sharon Abbott, Business Manager & Together President
Members will receive their next 2.5% pay increase on 1 March 2022.
