We all hope we can come to work and just do our jobs but sometimes issues arise that are difficult to navigate on your own.  Individual union support is about knowing that someone has your back in the workplace.  Delegates and industrial officers can provide a second opinion and often have a good understanding from the workers point of view.  They can help resolve issues on the spot or, if you are required to attend a meeting; be there to support you before, during and after.
Michelle Byard, Social Worker, Together Health Vice President
Standing together, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, scientists, oral health therapists, clinical assistants, and many other allied health professionals have fought for and won a good classification structure that recognises our clinical work and value. Every time Together members bargain, they defend and improve on this agreement and take action to do so.

It’s proven that workers that belong to thier union will earn more than non unionized workers. This is true for Health Practitioners and Clinical Assistants in health, we used our collective muscle to bargain for career pathing structures which recognised the work that we do for every day Queenslanders.
James Dunn, Clinical Assistant
