Queensland Police Service Protective Services Officers Certified Agreement 2019

This agreement covers Protective Security Officers employed in the Queensland Police Service who are also covered by the Public Service Officers Award

Union members fought for increases to top increments for each classification level, critical incident leave and a review into classification structures, Specials remuneration and the capacity of Protective Services to provide their service into the future.
By standing strong together and committing to taking collective action PSG members were able to secure the most substantial certified agreement in over 30 years.
Iain Bowles, Protective Security Officer
We won by taking collective action. Members participated in protected industrial action (many for the first time) which made the Service sit up and listen to what was impacting them most.
Without a strong campaign from members the much needed improvements to your agreement would not have been achieved. By working together members won and will continue to win.
INSERT QUOTE
Members will receive their next 2.5% pay increase on 1 July 2021 then a pay increase of 2.5% on 1 January 2022
