The real story of Child Safety

Every day, Queensland’s Child Safety workers make a difference for children and families — often under impossible pressure.
You keep the system going despite unsafe caseloads, high demand, and limited resources.

Now, as the Commission of Inquiry begins, we have a once-in-a-generation chance to fix the system — not blame the frontline.

Together, we’re raising our voices to show what’s really happening inside Child Safety: the dedication, the complexity, and the urgent need for reform.

Stories from the frontline

Across Queensland, workers are speaking out.
These stories show the reality behind the statistics — the commitment, compassion, and challenges that define the work of Child Safety.

Each story is told in the worker’s own words.
You can read their experiences below and add your own.

On the hard days, what keeps me going is knowing that the work we do matters — that by showing up every day, we can help children, young people, and families get the outcomes they deserve.
